Research

Brunswick Aquaculture Ltd. supports the following research initiatives:

We have been contributing to the elver recruitment abundance survey on the East River-Chester in Nova Scotia since its inception in 1996 (1996-2005, 2008 - ). This is the longest running recruitment survey in North America, and shows that the annual recruitment of elvers to a river in Atlantic Canada has not declined between 1996 and 2014.

We also contribute glass eels for research to Dr. John Casselman and Dr. Courtney V. Holden, Queens University (2012 -)

We participated in stocking programs in Quebec (Lac Morin with M. George Lizotte - 1997) and in Ontario (Lake Ontario with Ontario Power Generation - 2006 & 2007)
